Spring Home Maintenance Tips

 

It’s no surprise that our winters can be harsh, which can cause wear and tear on our homes.  Here's a list of the top 10 items to do around your home to get a kick start to spring and the warmer weather ahead.

 

 

1. Clean your Gutters and Downspouts

Lots of leaves and debris can get stuck in your gutters and downspouts. Clearing these out before the Spring rain comes is ideal to avoid overflow and backups.

 

 

 

2. Inspect your Roof

Winter can damage our roofs with the heavy snow and windy weather.  Take a look to see if there is any noticeable damage and if you can see any shingles lifting or missing.  Be sure to make any repairs if necessary.

 

 

 

3.Clean your Deck and Porch Spaces

Give your decks and porch spaces a good clean to wash away any dust or debris.

 

 

 

4. Clean Your Windows and Check for any Needed Repairs

Giving your windows a nice clean will help refresh your home. Also, walking around and looking to see if any damage has occurred. Make any repairs if necessary.

 

 

 

5. Check your Foundations for any Cracks
